The Solana 101 Project is a mixed-use commercial real estate construction project at the intersection of Highway 101 and Dahlia Drive. It represents a long-awaited answer to the local community’s demand for site/sight improvement of the area. Situated in a close proximity to the coast line, the location was previously referred to as the “eyesore”. With the area construction modernization, the ocean-neighboring Solana Beach 101 site has been upgraded with the novel commercial office space, outdoor dining, and retail space. In addition to all the urban amenities, the developer also included more than 33,000 square feet of residential space, consisting of the two separate two-story buildings for a total of 25 residential units.
"It's amazing how fast and how much the bluff has receded over the last year. To capture and analyze this data opens my eyes to what this technology can be used for."
"It was a pleasure working alongside AECOM to analyze the corrosion of the bluff using Laser scanning Technology and Drone Photogrammetry. The data we captured is essential as it will provide insight into the stability and safety of the bluff."
