Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital, named after the Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, provides a full complement of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, diagnostic and psychiatric services for adults and children 24 hours a day. Its Building 5 is a concrete hospital facility circa 1976 undergoing a major seismic upgrade expected to be completed in the beginning of 2026. The existing structural components are being reinforced not only for an enhanced earthquake resistance but also because other Hospital facilities are to be moved to Building 5, like Public Health Lab and Family Health Center.
